SEVEN LAKES ROUTE

The Seven Lakes Route, which runs between Villa La Angostura and San MartĂn de los Andes, is considered one of the most scenic drives in Argentina.
Fully paved and featuring gentle gradients, it becomes an inviting experience to explore by bicycle.
The Experiences of the Seven Lakes Route
-Visit more than 15 viewpoints overlooking the stunning glacial lakes along the route

-Sleep in tents on the shores of Lake Pichi Traful under a sky full of stars

-Each of the lakes we encounter is a clear reminder of the glaciers that once shaped these vast valleys, now covered by forests of lenga and ñire trees.
-The proposal includes visiting each of the seven lakes visible from the route, adding two more lakes for overnight stays and lunches.
-Nine lakes in two days and 110 km of paved road make this a truly unique cycling experience.
-Within this program, a third day is dedicated to enjoying simple trails in the surroundings of San MartĂn de los Andes and LanĂn National Park.
Itinerary
Previous Day
Arrival in Villa La Angostura. In the afternoon, meeting with the guide to review the itinerary and check the bicycles.
Overnight at a local inn.
Day 1 | Villa La Angostura - Lake Pichi Traful
We start riding from the hotel along secondary roads towards the RĂo Correntoso and Lake Correntoso area. From there, we begin our journey along the Seven Lakes Route.
We cover approximately 27 km of this iconic road, reaching the shores of Lake Correntoso, where we stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue for another 28 km until the junction leading to our campsite on the shores of Lake Pichi Traful.
Day 2 | Lake Pichi Traful - San MartĂn de los Andes
Who feels like having a cup of coffee while watching the morning mist over the lake?
After this and many other moments that mountain nights offer, we continue our journey towards San MartĂn de los Andes.
There are still several kilometers of pure enjoyment on the bike ahead, with three more lakes to discover along the way.
Day 3 | San MartĂn de los Andes
Well rested after a night in a comfortable bed and a good breakfast, we begin from town a ride heading north of San MartĂn de los Andes.
The route first takes us along trails around Laguna Rosales, then continues towards the base of Cerro Colorado, before returning to town through Mapuche lands.
